Japan Weeks Nikkei Sustainable Forum
NIKKEI IP and Intangible Assets Symposium/
Global Institutional Investor Trends

The Nikkei Sustainable Forum aims to create communication between companies and institutional investors on the topic of 'Enhancing the value of Japanese companies on the theme of intellectual property and intangible assets' and 'Global institutional investor trends'.
"The first NIKKEI IP and Intangible Assets Symposium" will be held in the afternoon and will discuss aggressive management, human resources and legal strategies for creating corporate value under the theme of 'intellectual property and intangible assets' as a source of corporate value.
We believe the best way to connect 'non-financial information' to 'financial value' is by building business models that utilise 'intellectual property and intangible assets' and by promoting investment in intellectual property and intangible assets for the sustainable growth of companies, we will raise awareness and communicate about the importance of virtuous circle management in creating sustainable businesses for the future.
The evening session 'Global Institutional Investor Trends' will introduce the global trend towards a shift in the centre of gravity from tangible to intangible assets as a source of corporate value.
With intangible assets accounting for an increasing proportion of corporate value, the importance of investment and disclosure of non-financial information such as ESG and intangible assets such as intellectual property will be explained from the institutional investors' side.
Foreign investment officials visiting Japan in conjunction with PRI in Person will be invited to discuss how to increase the value of Japanese companies in light of global trends and to clarify the expectations on Japanese companies around the world.
